Corning has designated Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) – the world’s oldest and largest private cancer center, devoting more than 135 years to patient care and research – as its Preferred Provider Partner for cancer care through a program called MSK Direct.

With MSK Direct, you and your family members have access to a dedicated team of world-class cancer specialists to guide you through your unique cancer journey, wherever you are. MSK Direct offers expert guidance to the highest-quality cancer services for screening and prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and life after cancer. Whether you have cancer, are concerned about your risk of cancer, or are a caregiver, MSK Direct is here for you.
How can MSK Direct help?
The MSK Direct team will:
- Schedule appointments with MSK doctors.
- Gather necessary medical records.
- Offer navigational support from an oncology-certified nurse to answer questions throughout your cancer journey.
- Provide personalized screening recommendations and advice on how to reduce your risk for cancer.
MSK Direct Virtual Services
If an in-person visit isn’t possible, you and your family can access virtual services for cancer care from MSK. If you or a family member need an expert opinion or have questions about your cancer diagnosis, treatment, cancer screening guidelines, or how to reduce your risk, MSK cancer specialists will work with you and your local doctor to guide you at any stage in your cancer journey.

MSK Kids
Memorial Sloan Kettering’s MSK Kids is the largest pediatric program in the country whose sole focus is caring for children, teenagers, and young adults with cancer, immune deficiencies, and blood disorders.
Travel and Lodging Benefit
If you or a covered dependent will be traveling more than 50 miles to a preferred provider partner, the Travel and Lodging Benefit will cover the transportation and lodging expenses for the covered member and their travel companion.

Eligibility:
All full-time U.S. employees, pre-65 retirees, and their eligible dependents enrolled in a Corning medical plan administered by UnitedHealthcare have access to MSK Direct with no additional cost share (for those members enrolled in the CHP, no member cost share applies once the deductible has been satisfied). Members also are eligible for Corning’s enhanced travel and lodging benefit if they reside more than 50 miles from MSK site of service.
Non-covered family members may also take advantage of the services offered by MSK Direct subject to insurance verification and cost share as outlined by their own health plan.
